Our Process

A remodel goes best when everyone knows what comes next. We've built our process around clear steps, honest conversations and a team that treats your home like a partnership. Here's how it works, from the first call to the final walkthrough.

1. A Complimentary Phone Consultation

It starts with a conversation with Anton and Gina. We'll talk about your home, what you'd like to change and how you live in the space. We'll also talk openly about budget, so you know where projects like yours typically land before you commit to anything.

2. Meeting at Your Home

Next, Anton and Gina visit your home. They walk the space with you, take measurements and photos, and listen for the details that matter: how you cook, where the light comes in, what isn't working today.

3. Your Preliminary Ballpark Estimate

After our visit, we put together a courtesy preliminary ballpark estimate. It gives you a realistic starting range based on the scope we discussed, the finishes you're considering and our experience with similar projects. It isn't a final price or a bid. Please allow 7 to 10 business days after our visit for us to put it together.

4. The Design Agreement

If the ballpark estimate aligns and we feel we'd make a great team, the next step is a design agreement. It's written in plain language and spells out what's included. The design investment is 4 to 8 percent of the preliminary project total, and it's applied toward the overall cost of your project. This starts the design process and brings our trade partners in to provide real costs.

5. Design and Selections

Our design team creates your floor plans and 3D renderings, so you can see your new space before it's built. Learn more about our design approach.

Gina, our Senior Designer, guides you through every selection: cabinetry, tile, countertops, fixtures, lighting and finishes. Each choice is priced as you make it, so your budget stays clear.

We plan the practical details too, like confirming appliance and countertop delivery paths, so there are fewer surprises once construction starts.

6. Your Proposal and Construction Agreement

With your design and selections complete, you receive a detailed, fixed-price proposal for the full project, built from the exact plans and materials you chose. It's line by line, with no vague allowances or surprise line items later.

Our construction agreement is based on NARI industry standards and reviewed by our attorney, so you know what's included before any work begins. We handle the permits.

7. Preparing for Construction

Before day one, we review the plan and schedule with you and share our "What to Expect" guide. It covers how to prepare your home, how we protect it during the work, and how we'll stay in touch.

8. Construction

Your project is built by our team and trusted, vetted trade partners, every one of them insured. We manage the schedule, the trades and the details, so you have one point of contact.

You get a written update every week through JobTread, our client portal, which keeps your schedule, selections, photos and every decision in one place. For quick questions, a call or short text is always welcome, and text is the fastest way to reach us if something urgent comes up.

If anything changes along the way, whether it's your choice or something we uncover behind a wall, we'll put it in writing, with any cost, before the work changes.

9. Final Walkthrough and Cleaning

When the work is complete, we walk through your new space together and take care of any final details. Then we finish with a final cleaning, so your space is ready to enjoy.

10. Standing Behind Our Work

Every project includes our one-year warranty, and we stand behind our work.
