Open-Concept White Kitchen in New Berlin, WI
At a glance: Kitchen remodel, part of a larger main-level renovation · New Berlin, WI · Investment: $100,000–$150,000 · 2025 NARI Remodeler of the Year Gold Award
The story
A wall and peninsula closed this kitchen off from the family room, the range was tucked into a corner, and the refrigerator opened into the hallway. With school-aged kids and busy schedules, the homeowners wanted an open, high-performing kitchen made for cooking, family meals and entertaining, with more light and a better connection to the backyard.

The design
We removed the wall between the kitchen and family room, rerouting the plumbing through the finished basement below without disturbing the completed spaces. A rustic alder island and matching beam bring warmth to staggered-height White Dove cabinetry with brushed brass hardware, and Cambria Inverness Everleigh quartz ties it all together.
